It has been proven once again that social media have the reach and power to launch new brands and create awareness. Newly opened Chinese restaurant Chinese Box recently jump into the social media bandwagon by launching it’s own Facebook page.Previously struggling to get traditional media attention and with their only marketing tactic was relying on word of mouth marketing, they decided to develop a customized Facebook page and social ads advertising campaign. Within two weeks, the restaurant get more than 900 fans, with visitors to fans conversion rate of about 24%. Their engagement strategies include picture of their dishes, reward loyal fans with vouchers and promotions.

Chinese Box said that Facebook have provided them with the means to successfully target their customers and account for the performance of our campaign. They also note that the use of social media proved to be most cost effective method of communication for our signature dishes, location and our promotions, compared to print and other media.
